This is 29-year-old Osman. He is married with one child, aged four years, and is a school-going child. In 2002, Osman established his building materials business. He sells floor mats, door locks, foam mattresses, paint brushes, threads, nails, pillows, extension cables, bulbs, plastic chairs, twine, Cellotex, etc..
When he was younger Osman assisted his uncle with his business after school hours. After sitting his high school exams, his uncle fully engaged him in the business by helping him establish his own business. Working seven days a week and 12 hours a day, he earns about Le 3,000,000 every month. He would like a loan in the amount of Le 5,000,000.
Osman has already received and successfully repaid four loans and now requires a new loan in order to buy merchandise (ten large foam mattresses @ Le360,000; six small foam mattresses @ Le220,000. The balance of Le80,000 will be used for transportation. In the future, Osman plans to become an international businessman, build a house and buy a car. He wants to further his education and provide quality education for his child. The loan will generate more income. Inadequate capital is his major challenge.
