Mary is 45 years old. She is a strong and hardworking person whom her family can count on for everything they need to have a stable and happy life. She lives with her husband and four grown children.
Mary runs her own business: food vending and selling at the market. Mary is asking for a loan to buy a large amount of basic ingredients such as wheat flour, beans and raw potatoes so that she can increase her production and thereby increase her sales.
She also has a vegetable stall that is located at her home. Both businesses have produced commendable results.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
