Sheila, 34, is a humble, hardworking person living with her two children who attend school. She is single and has to work extra hard to provide for their daily needs. Sheila works in food vending, selling from her home. She sells a variety of food stuffs including fried potatoes, dumplings and flat breads.
Sheila is requesting a loan from Yehu in order to have the money needed to buy more ingredients like wheat flour, beans, and cooking oil. She also plans to expand the business to have more space.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
