Bartolo
Bartolo is a 46 year old man who is in a committed relationship with his wife. He lives in Sololá. He has seven children; five boys go to school and work with him and two girls.

He is a hard-working man who is thriving, always at his family’s side. He grows vegetables like potatoes and carrots, which he sells at the local market and other places.

His children help him with this business activity. He started this work 25 years ago because it is the main business activity that his parents taught him. He sees that growing these vegetables has produced good results with the prices improving his family’s finances.

After harvesting potatoes he wishes to cultivate the land again. To do so he needs 2,000 quetzales to buy young pea plants and organic fertilizer. This way he will cultivate and have a better harvest. He hopes to have good income and to continue improving his earnings.

Seeing his children complete an academic career is the biggest dream that he and his wife have. Therefore, he will continue working a lot in order for this to become a reality in his life.

Don Bartolo es un hombre de 46 años de edad esta en unión de hecho con su esposa y vive en Sololá. Tiene 7 hijos de ellos 5 varones que estudian y trabajan con el y 2 mujeres.
Es un hombre trabajador prosperando siempre junto a su familia, el se dedica a cultivar verduras como alverja, papa y zanahoria las cuales vende en el mercado local y en otros lugares.
Junto a sus hijos se apoyan para realizar esta actividad el inicio este trabajo hace 25 años atrás siendo así la principal actividad que le enseñaron sus padres. El ve que el cultivo de estas verduras han dado buenos resultado con sus precios mejorando la economía de su familia.
Después de cosechar papa el desea cultivar nuevamente en su terreno la cual necesita un crédito de Q 2,000.00 para comprar plantillas de alverja y su respectivo fertilizante orgánico de esta manera cultivar y tener buena cosecha. El espera tener buenas ganancias y seguir mejorando los ingresos económicos.
Ver a sus hijos terminando una carrera académica es su mayor sueño junto a su esposa por eso seguirá trabajando mucho para que todo sea una realidad en su vida.
