Luis, age 47, lives with his wife and three children in a suburban neighborhood of San Pedro Sula. Luis has had a cabinetmaking shop at his house for two years. He makes wood furniture like cradles, different designs of tables, kitchen furniture, dining room furniture, and carved furniture like curtain hangers, doors, and others. He previously worked at a handicraft business, and that is where he learned to make his carved works.

This is the first time he has requested a loan with ODEF, which is for 22,000 lempiras. He will use it to buy an edging machine for his business. With this investment he hopes to improve his work and be able to increase sales. His plan is to take advantage of the opportunity of the loan in order to grow in his business. In the future he hopes to be able to buy a piece of land to locate his business separate from his house.

El Sr. Luis tiene 47 años de edad, vive con su esposa y sus tres hijos en una colonia suburbana de San Pedro Sula. Don Luis tiene un taller de ebanistería desde hace dos años, lo tiene instalado en su casa y su actividad es la fabricación de muebles de madera como ser cunas, mesas de varios diseños, muebles de cocina, mueble de comedor y muebles tallados como cortineros, puertas y otros. El anteriormente trabajo en un negocio de artesanos y allí aprendió a hacer trabajos de tallado. El está solicitando su primer préstamo con ODEF, el cual es por 22,000 Lempiras y lo va invertir en la compra de una maquina canteadora para su negocio. Con esta inversión espera mejorar sus trabajos y poder aumentar las ventas. Su plan es aprovechar la oportunidad brindada del financiamiento para crecer en su negocio y en un futuro poder comprar un terreno para ubicar el negocio separado de su casa.
