Assiba Pascaline did not receive much education. For five years now, she has been selling household appliances in a public square in Benin to contribute to the various household expenses. She undertakes her business with passion, which allows her to meet her needs and those of her children. Assiba Pascaline gets her supplies in a town in Benin.

With the goal of customer satisfaction, Assiba Pascaline is seeking a third loan with the other members of the Nonvigbe Group. This loan will allow them to better meet customer demand and to turn a greater profit. The previous loans received have been repaid.

NONVIGBE est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres exercent des activités génératrices de revenus dans une même zone. La représentante du groupe, Assiba Pascaline (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 36 ans et est mariée à un certain Quirin. Le couple a trois enfants dont certains scolarisés et tous à leur charge. Assiba Pascaline vit ensemble avec son mari. Le couple se partage les différentes charges des enfants. Assiba Pascaline a peu fréquenté l’école. Il y a cinq années que Assiba Pascaline mène comme activité la vente des appareils électroménagers à une place publique du Bénin afin de contribuer aux divers besoins du ménage. Assiba Pascaline exerce cette activité passionnément, ce qui lui permet de subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses enfants. Assiba Pascaline s’approvisionne dans une ville du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Assiba Pascaline sollicite un troisième crédit avec les autres membres du groupe NONVIGBE. Ce crédit leur servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de leur clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits précédemment reçus ont été bien remboursés

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
