Sarah, 45, resides with her husband, and four children at Sinkor. She stopped her education in the 9th grade. Her husband is an instructor, and her children are between the ages of 5 and 18 and currently in school.
Sarah is very hard working; she has had this business for the past seven years. She sells beans, rice, cooking oil, bath soap, washing soap, flour, sardines, luncheon meat and many other items. Because of the location of her business, and the good interaction that she has with her customers, she makes profit when she sells. She uses the profit to improve the business, and help with the expenses of the home. She has requested her fourth loan from BRAC Liberia to purchase more cooking oil, bath soap, flour, sardines, and beans for the business. Her plan is to give her children a higher level of education.
