Luis Angel
Luis is 21 and lives in the city of Pisco. Pisco is characterized by its very warm climate. Although it is very dusty, it is an agricultural city. In particular, the residents cultivate corn and cotton, among other crops. Luis is a very hard-working young man, but when he has free time he greatly enjoys playing soccer with his friends and neighbours. His greatest pleasure is eating his favourite food, the rich "ceviche mixto". Due to economic factors, he was only able to stay in school until the fifth grade of secondary school. He would have liked to study business administration.
Every day, Luis works as a mechanic in a company in the city. He does heavy machinery maintenance and works about ten hours per day. He thinks that things are going well for him at work because he is very responsible and, above all, because he has a desire to succeed.
Luis is very grateful to the Kiva lenders since, thanks to the help that they have offered him, he will be able to buy cement, sand, paint, and other materials for making improvements to his home. This will allow him to provide his parents with a better quality of life and to continue working hard every day to make his greatest dream a reality: "To have my own home and to have a large business."
