Khadija is 27 years of age, married, and lives with her husband and their son in the town of Kisauni, Kenya. She set up her own business at home over five years ago, where she makes women’s clothing such as dresses for all occasions, skirts, blouses, uniforms, etc. She has always worked in this business, as it was something she learned at a very young age and is now her source of income.
With the loan of 20,000 KES she has requested, Khadija plans to buy raw materials such as fabrics, thread, needles, accessories, buttons, etc. She will use these to make clothing, and therefore provide better customer service. Khadija’s goal is to have a larger business and expand her customer base. This will allow her to meet her objective of owning a clothing retail shop.
