Rochell Liza is a 29-year-old married woman from Prenza, Tangub City. She owns and operates a specialized retail store selling a variety of products such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, salt, vinegar, cooking oil, etc. She has had her business for 5 years, and earns 8,000 PHP a month.
In 2010, Rochell Liza joined GDMPC. She's requesting a loan of 19,000 PHP to purchase new items for her store such as candies, milo, shampoo, soap, etc. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
