Maria Rosana
Maria is a 46 year old widow with six children. Four of them are independent, and she sells a variety of clothing, food, and “nacatamales” (a type of tamale made with maize, dough, rice, potatoes, meat and vegetables), to support her two younger children who are in school and under her care. Through this business, she got her family ahead, alone, without anyone’s help. Now, they are repaying her for her sacrifice and showing their gratitude by helping her financially and physically. Maria Rosana is requesting her first loan to build a perimeter wall on the west side of her home. She will need to buy blocks, cement, sand, and iron as well as pay for labor. In this way, she will continue making progress with the help of her children and for their benefit.
