Ismael, 43, is dedicated to his soft-drink business which is called "Raspao" and located on the Caribbean Coast. His drink consists of crushed ice (raspao) in a cup with flavoring and condensed milk. He offers populars flavors such as strawberry, lime, lemon, tamarind and cola. He generates enough income to support his family which is comprised of his wife and eight children, in ages ranging from 5 to 23. He has been in business for 15 years, taking advantage of customer thirst under the hot son of the Colombian Caribbean.

His business initiative began after working for a company and being let go. He bought a cart to sell his own products, choosing the most usual thing found in the streets of the city. He sells every day in a busy commercial district, where he is located eight hours. His main customers are the students who buy from him.

His goal for the future is for his children to become professionals. Also, obtaining more capital to give his cart a better image in Caribbean style. Now he is requesting a CrediKiva loan to buy different tropical flavors, and to change his parasol to improve corporate image and attract more customers.

Ismael de 43 años e edad es un hombre dedicado a su negocio de venta de un refresco que en la costa caribe se llama “Raspao”, que no es otra cosa que un Hielo que se raspa, se pone en un vasito y se le añade sabor y leche condensada en el tope, como sabores populares como fresa, lima, limón, tamarindo y cola. En su negocio genera ingresos para sostener su hogar conformado por su esposa y sus 8 hijos en las edades de 5 a 23 años y esto o hace es de hace 15 años, aprovechando la sed de su clientela, producida por el incesante sol de Caribe Colombiano. Su iniciativa empresarial comienza después de trabajar en una empresa y fue liquidado comprando un carro para producir su propio producto, escogiendo el que es más usual en las calles de la ciudad. El vede de contado durante todos los días en un punto de gran convergencia comercial, donde se ubica durante 8 horas y los estudiantes, que son su principal mercado se acercan a comprarle. Su meta es lograr en un futuro que sus hijos sean profesionales y también la falta de capital, para extenderse como es su sueño con una mejor presentación de su propio estilo caribeño. En la actualidad está acudiendo a un credikiva, con el cual comprará los diversos sabores tropicales y cambiará la sombrilla para mejorar la presentación de su negocio e impactar visualmente a su clientela.
