This new loan will be used to buy merchandise including 2 bags of rice, 1 bag of sugar, 5 cases of Fanta and 25 litres of Rina oil.

In spite of the various challenges and other losses in this business, the client acknowledges that she has profited from the Hekima program. She therefore commends the initiative of IMF Hekima and its partners.

La cliente Kahambu est président du groupe Tujenge, alors âgée de 37 ans, marié et mère de 8 enfants qui vont tous à l’école. Son conjoint est un maitre cuisinier. La cliente est commerçante de divers et sociétaire d’une petite boutique. Elle commença ses affaires avec son fonds propre reçu de son mari. Plus tard, elle bénéficia un crédit fonds addition de crédit de Hekima. Elle vient de réaliser 19 cycles dans ce programme de microcrédit de Hekima. Ce nouveau prêt va lui servir d’acheter 2 sacs de riz, 1 sacs de sucres, 5 casiers de Fanta, 25 litres d’huile Rina, etc. Malgré le défi et autres perte dans cette activité, la cliente reconnait avoir gagné de profits dans ce programme de Hekima. Ainsi, elle salut l’initiative de l’IMF Hekima et ses partenaires. Il sied de signaler que deux clientes, leurs figures n'est visibles sur cette photo.

HEKIMA is a microfinance institution headquartered in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with branch offices in Goma and Bukavu. HEKIMA aims to contribute to the transformation of the economic, social, and spiritual lives of the economically active poor of the DRC. To this end, HEKIMA provides its clients with solidarity group loans to support income-generating activities. Despite ongoing instability and violence in its operating areas, HEKIMA continues to keep its doors open and provide credit and savings services for its over 90% female clientele.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
