Rahmatjon
Rahmatjon has contacted our organization for financial support as he needs to buy feed for his livestock.

He is the father of five children. He has never attended school and has been involved in the fattening of livestock all his life. His sons help him to raise livestock.

He now has a lot of cows, but he doesn't have enough money to feed them until the spring, which is why he is planning to buy some feed. Since Rahmatjon's business is his family's only source of income, he would like to expand his activity.

His dream is to send his sons to school so that they get an education and have good jobs.

He looks very forward to receiving financial support from MDO Arvand.

About MDO Arvand

MDO Arvand is one of the leading microfinance institutions in Tajikistan, offering small loans to entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. This makes an enormous difference in a country, which is not only the poorest in Central Asia, but also home to a population where two-thirds live below the poverty line. Today, Tajikistan's economy literally depends on remittances being sent from family members working abroad in Russia because there are so few local job opportunities.

But Arvand loans have been able to make a difference and change lives. Read about some of the incredible success stories they have seen here in this Kiva blog post: Bringing hope to Tajikistan with Arvand -- one success story at a time.
