A 58-year-old father from Mongkul Borey district in Cambodia, Vun is a farmer who currently grows rice on three hectares of farmland and cassava on one hectare. He has one son who is a paid worker. After 20 years of being engaged in his business, Vun is able to earn about 17,000 KHR per day.

Vun has been with VisionFund for four loan cycles which has helped him with timely support of his business and to gradually increase his income. Now, he is the leader of his group of two male members. He and his co-member are each applying for 300,000 KHR. As the leader, Vun is going to buy fertilizer for his rice farm. He hopes to have a better life than before.

The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
