Simei is a 50-year-old married man with eight children living in Kasese, Uganda. He trades in cosmetics and empty jerrycans. He also looks after three orphans who were left after his sister died.
He started the business with capital worth 3,000,000 shillings and it has now grown to six million over the years. Simei has challenges of price fluctuation and customers not paying on time, but hopes to increase his stock to 10 million and to venture into agriculture. He is requesting a loan to buy cosmetics to sell.
