Hilario
As a child, Hilario started to learn everything related to growing coffee. At the age of 20 he inherited some land from his mother for him to take care of. He is 42 years old nowadays, and along with his wife Guadalupe they have managed to take care of their 2 children thanks to their determination at work.
They care about obtaining good quality coffee and they have opted for organic production, avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers, which is also good for preserving the environment. In previous years they have had very good crops, but for several reasons they haven't been doing well lately. Hilario needs a loan to buy plants and organic fertilizer, and to clean up his land. This will increase his production considerably in no more than 3 years.
One of Hilario's dreams is to support his children so they can earn a professional degree, and he knows that if he uses his loan money wisely he will be able to increase production and thus obtain more profit, which will improve their quality of life.

Desde niño Hilario comenzó a aprender todo lo relacionado con el cultivo del café y a los 20 años su madre le heredó algunas tierras para que se hiciera cargo de ellas. Actualmente él tiene 42 años y junto con su esposa Guadalupe han logrado sacar adelante a sus 2 hijos a base del empeño que han puesto a la hora de trabajar. Preocupados por obtener café de buena calidad ellos han optado por la producción de manera orgánica al no utilizar fertilizantes que tengan compuestos químicos, lo cual también es bueno para la conservación del medio ambiente. En años anteriores han tenido muy buenas cosechas, pero por diversos motivos no les ha ido muy bien últimamente. Hilario necesita un crédito para comprar planta, abono orgánico y realizar actividades de limpieza y con esto en un periodo no mayor a 3 años hará posible que su producción aumente considerablemente. Una de las ilusiones de Hilario es apoyar a sus hijos para que terminen una carrera profesional y sabe que si emplea bien su crédito podrá aumentar su producción y con ello obtendrá una mayor ganancia económica que le ayudara aumentar su calidad de vida.

These loans help farmers swap out their old coffee plants that are no longer producing at capacity for new plants. New plants generally take three years to produce at capacity, temporarily reducing crop yield. Given that the renewal process can be lengthy, please note that this loan may have a long repayment term with a built-in grace period.
