Pho is 50 years old, married and lives with her two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been cultivating rice and raising livestock for more than 20 years, and earns about $5 daily. Her husband is a teacher who earns about $2 per day. Her children have jobs and each earns about $3 a day. Pho is requesting a loan for $1,300 to buy a walking (or hand) tractor to use on her farm. In the future, she would like to expand her business and also build a new house as soon as possible.
