Catarina
Catarina is a lady who enjoys working and striving for her family. She’s 26-years-old, married and lives in Sololá with her husband and three children. The oldest is a 7-year-old boy who attends elementary school. A four-year-old little girl does not attend school yet and the youngest is barely three-months-old.

She works in agriculture with her husband growing potatoes and carrots near her house. She learned this type of work alongside her father since she was 13-years-old; she’s now been growing vegetables for 15 years since they maintain their market price and profits have improved.

She, therefore, sees the need to invest and take advantage of the land she and her husband have. She’s asking for a Q 8,000.00 loan to buy carrot seeds and organic fertilizer for later use.

Among her goals is to continue expanding the crops to give her children a better life, especially schooling since in the past she was unable to go to school due to her family’s low income level.

Entre sus metas quiere seguir ampliando sus cultivos, y poder darle mejores condiciones de vida a sus hijos principalmente los estudios académicos, ya que ella en el pasado no tuvo la oportunidad de estudiar por la baja economía de su familia.
