Sector 3 Esquinas is a communal bank comprised of 5 women and 2 men, who live in the various communities that surround the region of Nabon. It is a place that has cold weather, fertile lands and beautiful scenery, made possible by its colorful crop fields. Its people are friendly, kind individuals whose pride is to keep alive the traditions and culture once instilled by their parents. Their main source of work is agriculture and the breeding of animals, especially among the area's women. The men and the younger people work primarily in the city of Cuenca.

One of the members of this group is Maria Etelvina, who is 52 years of age and married. Since she got married she has had eight children, four of whom are married and live independently. One of the other children works, and three attend a local school. Her husband works as a day laborer. The house they live in was built during their marriage.

Maria Etelvina is a homemaker, but since they live in the country, she breeds chickens, guinea pigs, pigs and cattle, which she sells in her community. She also cultivates her land by planting potatoes and corn for household consumption. She will use her loan to buy chickens, animal feed and fertilizer for her land. Her goal is to have a bigger chicken shed.
