Marcelino
Marcelino has been a farmer practically all of his life. He used to help his father in the fields when he was a boy and he has lots of experience with all types of crops. He’s married to Irma and they have seven children who help him do his work on his land during their vacations, as they still attend school.

Marcelino says that his previous harvest was not very good, because the climate was not ideal for coffee, however this year it will be much better. He is asking for this loan so that he can hire field hands who will help him with the next coffee harvest.

Aside from raising coffee, he also raises sugar cane, lemon, and honey. This helps him increase his family income. He would like to enlarge his home in the future because he has a large family and it would allow them to live more comfortably.
