Las Almendritas Group
In this Group: Mirene, Sebastián, Margarita
This group is called Las Almendritas and it has three members: two women and one man, who live on a small but pretty riverbank where they celebrate the party of the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe on the 12th of December.

The woman who was interviewed is named Margarita. She is married to Rogelio, with whom she had four children, two of whom are already married and two who are still with her under her care.

She will use the loan in the purchase of paint for automotives for the place where she has been working for two years and four months, where she states that it is going well for her since with this work her income is very good and she already has clients who buy from her in mechanical shops.

She started with this work to enable herself to have an occupation that would allow her to get money and with it be able to support her family with the expenses that they generate in the home.

What she wishes the most is that with the loan and her tasks, she can continue working and with time expand her business which supports her so much.

Mirene is a member of the group and her loan will be invested in the purchase of merchandise for her grocery store, and Sebastián will invest in the purchase and sale of paint.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
