Mchemunda is a married woman, with four children. She is a business owner who works selling household goods. She tells us that she has had this business for more than three years.
Her business is located in a strategic place in Samburu, where she has a great number of customers. It is thanks to her work and her business that she has been able to help her family and give them all they need for a dignified life.
She is requesting the loan to stock her store with wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar, as she has a lot of demand for all this and wants to have her products in stock to be able to offer them to her customers.
She thanks Yehu Microfinance Trust and Kiva for the opportunity that she is receiving.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
