Sonia is a 32-year-old woman living in Punjab, Pakistan with her husband and two sons. Her husband works for a private company and her sons are four and five years old, respectively.

Since 2010, she has been running a cosmetics shop by herself. She sells hair care products, skin products, creams, bleaching and whitening creams, hand lotions, manicure and pedicure products and a variety of other products in her shop. As customers' demand is increasing day by day, she is interested in buying more variety of cosmetics products for the shop.

For that reason, Sonia, as a member of a four-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan. With the help of the loan, she will not only purchase a variety of products for the shop but she will also pay the shop rent and meet the household expenditure as well.
