Demetrio lives in the community Yunguillas, the province of Mizque , in the department of Cochabamba. He has a son. Demetrio is a farmer. During the last harvest there was a natural disaster. The crops froze and decimated his output. This disaster caused him to lose his income because he supports himself through the harvest production. Every year he produces onions and peas in his small parcel of land.
Demetrio is a well-loved and respected person in the community where he lives. He is so dedicated to his child and work that he has to do side jobs in agriculture to earn some money to support his small son.
He is requesting a loan to purchase seeds for peas, seeds for beans, and organic fertilizer. This way he will improve the quality and performance of his crops. He works in a little parcel of land that he owns by his house so he can improve his income and give a better life to his son so he can attend school. The loan would significantly help him and his son.
