Asha is 33 years old, is married, and lives with her life partner and their two children in the Msambweni region of Coast Province. Asha is involved in the sale of fried fish, selling to one of the busy markets in the urban area. She has been engaged in this work for several years and has a good clientele. Asha is happy because she feels like a responsible person now that she helps her husband with the daily household expenses. She needs to grow her business since her husband is unable to fully support her. After being introduced to Yehu by a friend, she decided to ask for a loan in the amount of 25,000 Kenyan shillings (KES) to buy more fish to meet her customers' demands.
