The EL PARAISO group is made up of two members, Rosalina Eufemia and Ever Arnoldo. They are originally from Chinandega, which is located in the west part of the country and is known for is productive business zone. These members know each other because they are from the same zone and therefore they decided to request a group loan so that they could help one another financially and invest in their different businesses. Rosalina Eufemia is the group’s coordinator and is in charge of making payments. She has a general store where she sells daily household consumables in small amounts, such as bags of coffee, shampoo, detergent, toothpaste, rice, and cooking oil. She runs the business out of her home and has been doing so for 10 years. She wants to use the money from this loan to stock her business so that she can satisfy her customers’ needs. EL PARAISO is grateful to the Kiva lenders for the help they give small businesspeople in poor countries, such as Nicaragua, so that they can have dignified lives.

EL G.S EL PARAISO Está conformado por dos integrantes Rosalina Eufemia y Ever Arnoldo, son originarios del municipio de Chinandega, el cual está ubicado en el occidente del país y se caracteriza por ser un zona comercial productiva. Estos integrantes de este grupo se conocen porque son de la misma zona por lo tanto decidieron optar al crédito bajo la modalidad de grupo solidario para ayudarse económicamente e invertir en sus diferentes negocio. Rosalina Eufemia es la coordinadora del grupo la cual se encarga de las responsabilidad y cumplimiento de pagos en tiempo y forma ella tiene por actividad económica la una pulpería que consisten en vender productos de consumo diario del hogar en cantidades pequeñas como una bolsita de café, bolsita de champo, bolsita de detergente un jabón de lavar ropa, pasta dental, una libra de arroz, ¼ de aceite. y esta ubicado en su casa de habitación. Tiene 10 años de experiencia en el negocio. El financiamiento lo quiere para surtir su pequeño negocio y satisfacer la demanda de sus clientes. EL G.S EL PARAISO agradece a los inversionistas kiva la ayuda que le brindan a los comerciantes pequeños de países pobres como es Nicaragua para tener un medio digno de vida.

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
