The group “PRIMAVERA 27 DE MAYO” (Spring May 27th) will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal de Cascada. It is made up of six members and it is governed by a board, of which Lidia is the President. The businesses that the members of the association manage are varied and include: food sales, crafting artisanal beds and aguayos (traditional multi-purpose rectangular cloths), weaving sweaters and blankets, and a neighborhood store.

The loan they are requesting will benefit the small business group of which Lidia is a member. She indicates that this is her first time working with ProMujer, and that she joined at the invitation of a promoter of the organization that came to her home to visit her. Currently, she has a neighborhood store, and she has been working at this business for years, starting out selling only gelatin, and then increasing her capital and opening her store.

The loan that she is currently taking out is to increase her capital (purchasing sugar, noodles, oil, etc.) which she will acquire in the markets of the city of El Alto and then sell in her store. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family.

When consulted about what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she enjoys the trainings about health and the loans.

La A.C. “PRIMAVERA 27 DE MAYO” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Cascada, está compuesta por seis integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Lidia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos tenemos: artesanía en cama y aguayos, venta de comida, tejido de chompas y mantas, tienda de barrio.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Lidia es integrante, ella indica que es a primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a su casa a visitarla. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio tienda de barrio; cuenta que este negocio lo emprendió hace años, iniciando el mismo solo con la venta de gelatinas posteriormente fue incrementando su capital y abrió su tienda.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de azúcar, fideo, aceite, etc.) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar en lo posible a su familia.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones en salud y crédito.
