Amina, 44, is a divorced mother of seven children. She sells fish in one of the busy markets in the township. She has a large, regular clientele because people prefer her because of the quality of her fish, their variety, her good prices, and above all for the excellent service. Amina always has a smile that she cannot hide, making her liked by many people.
Amina is a woman who is dedicated to her work and determined to get ahead. She strives daily to reach success. She carries her box daily and sets it in her regular position. At times her daughter helps her in the selling when she has other activities to do. She is asking for this loan to buy more stock of fish for sale.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
