Sok Ny, 41, is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. Two of her children are employed at a garment factory. They earn about $6 each day.
Sok Ny has been growing rice and water convolvulus (a leafy vegetable) to sell for more than two years, earning approximately $2 daily.
She is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase a pumping machine to use for farming. This purchase will make it easy for her to cultivate her crops.
In the future, she would like to run a grocery store at home and help her youngest child earn a higher education. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
