Chan Thea is 42 years old. She is married and resides with her parents and four children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing agricultural crops for more than ten years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is a stove and ladder producer who earns about $7 daily. One of her children is employed in a garment factory and earns about $3 each day.
Chan Thea is requesting a loan of $1000 to pay her child’s school fees. In addition, a part of this money will be used to buy a computer for her child. This money will help her child earn higher education. In the future, she would like to purchase a truck for transporting stoves to sell and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
