Alex, 19, lives in the city of Nazca, a city noted for its hot, welcoming climate. It has many tourist attractions that are very popular like the Nazca Lines and the Cahuachi Cemetery, among others. Agriculture, especially cactus apples, corn and cotton, among others is also prevalent here.

Alex is very hardworking but when he has a little free time available he enjoys watching movies, especially comedies, and on occasion to eat one of his favorite dishes, the very delicious “Arroz con Pollo.” [Chicken with Rice]

Alex works day to day as a taxi driver. He works around 12 hours daily and can tend to up to 25 customers per day. He’s able to help his parents with household expenses with the fruits of his labor and above all to pay his university costs since he’s studying auto mechanics. He believes that he does well at work because he’s very dedicated and above all because he very much wants to get ahead.

Alex is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support they’ve given him he will be able to buy materials like pliers, wrenches, soldering liquid, welding masks, etc. for his father’s small auto repair shop. In this way he will be able to continue working and help his father improve his family’s quality of life. In this way he will be able to continue working day to day striving to complete his career and reach one of his greatest dreams: to have his own welding shop.

Alex tiene 19 años de edad, vive en la ciudad de Nazca, ciudad que se caracteriza por tener un clima cálido y acogedor, asimismo posee muchos atractivos turísticos, los cuales son muy visitados los cuales son las “Líneas de Nazca”, el “Cementerio de Cahuachi”, entre otros, asimismo se desarrolla la agricultura en especial el cultivo de tuna, algodón, maíz, entre otros. Alex es muy trabajador, pero cuando tiene un tiempito libre le gusta mucho ver películas, sobre todo de comedia y en ocasiones comer uno de sus platillos favoritos el cual es el riquísimo “Arroz con Pollo”.

Día a día Alex trabaja como chofer de taxi, el labora alrededor de 12 horas al día y puede atender hasta 25 clientes diariamente y con el fruto de su trabajo puede apoyar a sus padres con los gastos de su hogar y sobre todo poder solventar los gastos de su universidad ya que se encuentra estudiando la carrera de Mecánica; el cree que le va bien en su trabajo ya que es muy dedicado y sobre todo tiene muchas ganas de salir adelante.

Alex está muy agradecido con los prestatarios Kiva ya que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado el podrá comprar materiales para el pequeño taller de mecánica de su padre, como alicates, llaves, liquido para soldar, cascos de soldadura, entre otros, de esta manera el podrá seguir trabajando y sobre todo apoyar a su padre y así poder mejorar la calidad de vida de su familia; de esta manera poder seguir trabajando día a día y luchando por terminar su carrera y cumplir uno de sus más grandes sueño:” Tener su propio taller de soldadura”.
