The communal bank 'Montecristi', meets every two weeks in the canton Montecristi. She has a small store which she runs out of her home, from which she sells all types of products including rice, sugar, cooking oil and vegetables, as well as a few stationary items, paper and some medicines. She works everyday from 6am until 9pm, and sometimes even later. Her son helps her with her work when he is not busy. She has had this business for the past three years, which has grown with the passing of time and with the help of the loans that she has received from the communal bank.

This loan she is going to use to stock her store. She is going to buy rice, sugar, cooking oil, soaps, notebooks and cards as well as other products of daily consumption. She has taken out 7 previous loans and she likes the communal bank because the group is well united.

Her goals are to continue working on her business and that her store would continue to grow everyday.

EL Banco Comunal Montecristi se reúne cada quince días en el Cantón Montecristi, conocido por su rica cultura pre colonial y por su artesanía que es reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional. Lugar de los famosos sombreros de paja toquilla.

La señora Nanny tiene 44 años de edad, está casada y de esta relación tienen un hijo de 25 años que estudia en universidad y aun vive en su casa. Su esposo trabaja con maquinaria pesada.

Ella tiene una tienda en su casa en la cual vende todo tipo de productos como arroz, azúcar, aceites, legumbres además de ciertas cosas de bazar, papelería y algunas medicinas, trabaja todos los días desde las 6h00 hasta las 21h00 y a veces hasta más tarde, su hijo le ayudan en su trabajo cuando está desocupado. Tiene tres años con su negocio el cual ha ido aumentando con el paso de los días y con la ayuda de los créditos que ha recibido del banco comunal.

Este crédito lo va a emplear en surtir mas su tienda, va a comprar arroz, azúcar, aceite, detergentes, cuadernos, tarjetas, entre otros productos de primera necesidad. Está en el Banco Comunal hace 7 ciclos y le gusta porque el grupo es muy unido.

Sus metas son seguir adelante en su negocio y que su tienda crezca cada día más.
