Oung (who is in the picture with her son) is 47 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up animals for more than twenty years, earning approximately $14 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. They earn about $4 each day.
Due to the difficulty with her family’s transportation, Oung is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase will help her children go to work on time. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn a bachelor’s degree.
