Yem is 53 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Kratie Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for more than two years, earning approximately $12 per day. Her husband is involved in animal husbandry and earns about $7 each day.
In order to improve her family’s finances, Yem is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase more groceries to sell. This money will help her expand her store and earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her business and help her children earn a bachelor’s degree. In addition, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more convenient for her family.
