Marisol Diana
Marisol, 22, lives in the city of Ica. She’s a very kind, hardworking, enthusiastic, single woman who very much wants to improve. Unfortunately, due to the lack of economic resources and the need to go to work to cover expenses, Marisol was unable to become a secretary like she so desired but would have liked to have done so. In her free time she likes to keep working and sometimes cooks a delicious “Carapulcra con Sopa Seca” to share with her family.

With much effort and enthusiasm, Marisol opened a small beverage business selling soft-drinks, beverages, water and beer, among others. She starts work very early in the morning every day. She works approximately 12 hours per day on average and believes she does well because she does not have much competition in her zone and because of the kind customer service she provides.

Marisol is grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the support provided she will be able to buy a tarp, tables and chairs for her business. In this way, Marisol will have the business better equipped so that her customers will be more comfortable and feel at ease. She hopes her sales and income will increase as a result and it will be very useful for her to expand the business and have her own house in the future.
