Esther, aged 25, lives at Kakata. She stopped her education in the 4th grade. She is single and has a child who is 2 years old and is in school. Esther has been managing her provision shop for the past ten years. She sells washing soap, bath soap, vita, rice sugar, flour salt, hair grease, and other items. Some difficulties she faces are the unstable prices at the market because of the exchange rate, USD to (Liberian dollars)LD. However, because of the good location of her shop and the way she interacts with her customers, she makes a profit every day.
She is proud of her business because it makes her feel independent, and she is able to educate her child. She has requested this loan in order to purchase more rice, washing soap, bath soap, biscuits, hair grease and flour for the business. Her plans in the future are to educate her child and have a store.
