Doreen, 34, is a very cheerful, hardworking and enterprising woman living with her husband and two children; she lives in the town of Kisauni.
Doreen is a merchant selling clothes in a store. The business generates good income since she needs to cover her children’s needs. This is her second Yehu loan and she will use it to buy bales of clothes for sell so as to increase sales and income thereby improving the quality of life for her and her family. Her dream is to expand her business and open a boutique in future.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
