Ruperto Timoteo
Ruperto, 48, is married and he and his wife have four children three of which are already adults; they only live with their youngest one who is attending secondary school. Ruperto is very hardworking and strives daily very much in order to set a good example for him and to get ahead.

Ruperto’s house is located in the city of Imperial which is noted for its very varied climate. Agriculture too takes place here especially apples and corn, among others. Ruperto has worked in agriculture for more than ten years since his parents taught him the art of planting when he was very young. Ruperto has grown potatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, lima beans, broad beans, among others in the past but he’s currently planted broad beans. He spends about nine hours per day at work and his wife always supports his efforts. He thinks he does so well in his business because he likes what he does and because he has his wife’s and his children’s support.

Ruperto is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they are giving him he will be able to buy manure and fertilizer to have a crop that’s in good condition. He will thus be able to improve his income and have good crop yields and will continue striving daily to make his greatest dream reality: to provide a good education for his youngest son and to finish building his house out of substantial materials since it’s currently adobe.
