Natela is from a small village of Keda district. She is 52 years old and lives with her husband and 30-year-old son. Her husband is provided with a retirement pension, and her son works as a manager of the village club-house. He gets a small monthly income.
Natela runs an animal husbandry business. She has a milk cow, whose milk is sold locally. In addition, she owns a plot of land where different kinds of fruits and vegetables are grown. The family does all relevant seasonal work to insure a good harvest. They sell their agricultural production at the local open market. Natela works hard to make some savings and improve the living conditions of the family.
She requested a loan to purchase beehives with bee colonies. The family will get honey and plans to sell it in nearby villages. This will increase the income of the family. With the increased profit, she will be able to reinvest in the family agricultural business to expand it and make it more profitable. Taking into account the above-mentioned, the living conditions of the family will improve.
