She owns a small restaurant in the local village and has asked for a loan to purchase more rice to cook for her customers. Mrs. Korn K. is a 56-year-old widow, mother of a child who is employed in a garment factory. She has previously obtained a loan from AMK to buy the ingredients to make Khmer cakes to sell in the village.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
