Luis Gabriel
Luis, 19, is a young entrepreneur who has taken some higher education courses but has been unable to complete his studies because of the lack of economic resources. He’s single and lives in Nanegalito, a parish in Los Bancos Canton in Pichincha Province one of Ecuador’s largest. This canton is located a few kilometers from the city of Quito. It has a variety of forests and its neighborhoods are populated with kind people with customs that are typical of this city. There are also several micro businesses established here by entrepreneurs who strive daily to make their dreams realty. Other outstanding activities are agriculture and animal husbandry producing abundant crops that are sold in many provinces. It also has many tourist attractions like waterfalls, rivers, paths and aquatic resorts where tourists are attracted by the extreme sports safely practiced there.

Luis set up a computer leasing business a year ago in town where he works nine hours daily. He feels that it’s very productive because technology has become a need that not all homes have access to. Luis wants to invest in his business purchasing more computers and better furnishing his locale to generate higher income and be able to continue with his studies and apply all his knowledge to his micro business. This is why he requested a loan from Fundación Alternativa and he’s very grateful to them for the support and counseling provided to reach his goals.
