Esther is a married mother of three children, two of her children go to school. She also takes care of her young brother. She has a business of a restaurant and has been in this business for 3 years, selling to all categories of people, and works seven days a week at the market.
Esther has applied for loan of 500000 Ugandan shilling from MCDTSACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas, beef, charcoal and rice. She doesn’t have any other income generating activity. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters. She is aspiring of seeing her business grow big into a fully stocked restaurant and also to get enough profit to buy a plot of land and build a house.
Esther resides in a rented house. Her family has no access to electricity or piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent and school fees.
