Sabri
Sabri is living in the southern part of Kosovo. He is married and has four children ranging in age from 9 to 4 years old. The family's main source of income comes from Sabri, who works as a taxi driver. He doesn’t earn enough to support the needs of his family. His wife spends most of the time staying at home as a housewife, cooking and taking care of her children and her husband.

The family used to live in an old house and tried to save money to build a house. They have finally managed to start building their new home to improve their living conditions, and they have paid for the building materials, but they still need money to pay for the new windows. The money they generate in income and have in savings is not enough to finish the house.

Now Sabri requests a loan in order to buy new windows. The loan will help them to complete the new house and enter before the winter season. His goal is to improve the living conditions for his children and to offer them a good quality education.

He would like to thank all Kiva lenders for their support!

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
