This is 32 year old, married Halima. She lives with her family in Msambweni, a town in the coastal region of Kenya. Her husband is a businessman. They have two children who are currently attending school.
Four years ago she learned how to sew because she liked it. She carries out this work alone in one of the trading centres. She doesn't have a fixed timetable but she prefers opening early and works up to late in the evening.
She will use this loan to buy sewing materials such as fabrics and thread. Over the next few years she would like to open a business where she can display the articles she makes.
