Batuli is a kind and cheerful woman who likes working and being resourceful. She is married, and she lives with her four children in Likoni, located in the coastal province of Southern Kenya. She helps her husband take care of the household expenses through the sale of charcoal and coconuts.
This is the second loan she has asked for from Yehu. She will invest it in the purchase of charcoal and coconuts, in order to satisfy her customers' needs as well as to make good money that she will need to pay for the education and the daily necessities of her children.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
