She has three dependent children, all of whom go to school.

Amivi Florence lives with her children and her husband, and the couple ensures that the various household expenses are covered. Amivi Florence did not go to school, and for almost five years she has worked selling drinks, school supplies, and various food items from home. She has this business so that she can contribute to paying the household expenses, and she gets her supplies in Benin.

In order to ensure customer satisfaction, Amivi Florence has requested a third loan alongside the members of the Don de Dieu group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ needs, as well as to make more profits. Their prior loans were successfully repaid.

DON DE DIEU est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres sont des amies et résidant dans le même quartier au Bénin. La représentante du groupe, Amivi Florence (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 44 ans et est marié un électricien du nom de David. Amivi Florence est mère de trois enfants tous scolarisés et à la charge du couple. En plus de leurs enfants, le couple a deux autres enfants à charge. Amivi Florence vit ensemble avec ses enfants et son mari. Le couple assure ensemble les diverses charges. Amivi Florence n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Il y a près de cinq ans que Amivi Florence mène comme activité la vente des boissons, des fournitures scolaires et divers produits vivriers à son domicile. Amivi Florence mène cette activité afin de pouvoir aux besoins du ménage. Amivi Florence s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Amivi Florence sollicite un troisième crédit avec les autres membres du groupe DON DE DIEU. Ce crédit leur servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de leur clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits précédents ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
