Among them are: selling hats, selling freeze-dried potatoes and potatoes, woven blankets and macramé, knitted outfits for babies, making and selling pullover jackets, and selling underwear.

The loan that they are taking out will benefit small micro-entrepreneurs where Juana is a member. She indicates that she became a member of Pro Mujer, joining though the invitation of a fellow member of the institution. Currently she has a business selling underwear. She has had this business for some years that she learned from her aunt whom she used to help in her business before.

The loan that she is now taking is to increase her capital (to buy underwear) that she will buy from distributors and later sell on foot at the markets in the city of El Alto. This work allows her to earn money to support her family as much as possible as she is married and has two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer she responds that she like the discussions about health.

Patricia is not in the photograph as she had a medical appointment.

In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
