Goretti lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is a single mother with four children and two of them are in school. She also cares for grandchildren in her home. Goretti is running a canteen. She works six days a week. It has been ten years since she started her business. She has requested for a loan of Shs 600,000 from MCDT SACCO to buy crates of sodas and boxes of Safi & sweets. The challenges she has in her business are seasonality and thieves. Her goals and aspirations are to expand her business by investing in second-hand clothes and outside catering services. She is renting a house for her home. She has access to electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are for school fees and rent.
