Hamida, 22, considers herself to be a person with a normal personality, unassuming, hardworking, responsible, and very attentive to her customers. Hamida lives with her husband and their young son.
She works alone in a fruit and vegetable stand, a business that helps her cover some of the household expenses. This is the first loan she’s requested from Yehu, and it will be used to recurrently buy tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cabbage, kale, watermelons, oranges, etc., because she has high customer demand and she does very well.
Hamida dreams of improving her living standards and those of her family.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
